Mott Community College offers a superior educational experience
in the art of cooking; we train mid-Michigan culinary professionals.
A culinary education is a fine art at MCC. We change your passion
for food and cooking into a career, as we training future chefs,
foodservice managers, bakers, and restaurant managers with an
emphasis on learning by doing. Our classes are small, averaging
11:1 student/teacher ratio and taught by certified chefs and managers.
The foodservice business is booming in mid-Michigan, and there
are more diverse job opportunities than ever before in the hospitality
fields.
MCC offers various programs:
Students enrolled in MCC programs will receive intensive training
in all phases of the restaurant business, and will graduate with
a high level of expertise necessary to become a professional in
any area of the foodservice business.
Students gain practical experience in food preparation, plus valuable
management and customer service skills in our spacious, and beautiful
Applewood Café. Many students participate in cooking contests,
ice carving demonstrations, student club and cooperative education
to gain additional skills.

Other Food on Campus
The Bear Bistro is a full-service, state-of-the-art restaurant on the main campus of MCC. The bistro also houses a small convience store.
Bear Bistro is located on the first floor of the Curtice-Mott Building between the building wings.
Vending
machines offering hot, cold and frozen selections are available
in convenient locations throughout main campus.
