Instructional support services are available
to encourage student success and meet a wide range of student goals, abilities,
learning styles and career expectations.
The Learning
Center, located in the Prahl College Center, PCC2280,
offers a variety of free services. Professional
staff are available to assist students
in identifying their strengths and weaknesses
and to develop a personal academic success
plan. Services include peer tutoring, professional
tutoring, DisAbility Services for students,
assistance in English as a second language
(ESL), and three federal grant programs:
the Carl D. Perkins-Special Populations
program, TRiO-Student Support Services,
and TRiO-Upward Bound. Study groups are
also available within the Center. The Learning
Center staff work cooperatively with faculty
and staff in other locations, such as Health
Services, Counseling, and Career and Employment
Services. Students must meet eligibility
requirements for some services.
DisAbility
Servicesworks to ensure access
to college courses, programs, facilities,
services, and activities by documenting
disabilities and providing or arranging
reasonable accommodations. We are located
in the Learning Center, which is on the
second floor of the Prahl College Center.
DisAbility Services does not provide
testing to determine whether or not a
disability exists. Therefore, for those
students who suspect that they have a
disability, referrals to local professionals
and agencies can be given.
Tutorial
Servicesprovides caring and quality
tutoring in a variety of subjects and formats
to students who want to maximize their
academic performance.
This is a free service. Mott students
are provided tutoring for courses in
which they are currently enrolled. Weekly
individual appointments are available
as well as the drop-in Math Study Room.
Services begin the second week of each
semester and close for the week of finals.

MCC campuses. While most of these computer
labs are dedicated for educational purposes,
three of the computer labs are open labs
for students to use on a drop-in basis (students
must have current ID card).
Technicians in these labs are there to
check-in students and to provide technical
assistance in computer functioning. The
lab assistant does not provide assistance
with software programs or homework. Students
must present a photo ID and current course
schedule.
Use your laptop wirelessly across campus. Configure your own laptop for wireless use on MCC's campus and in just a few minutes you are ready to access your email, Blackboard and other Internet functions. Download directions(pdf) to configure your laptop - you must be on campus. If you are having difficulty visit CM 2118 for assistance.
