President
President Suzanne Lossing is a product of the Flint area. Sue graduated from Bentley Community Schools in Burton. She then attended Mott Community College in preparation for a teaching degree, and went on to receive her bachelor's degree in teaching. She returned to MCC and worked for over 20 years in various positions, the latest of which was in Financial Aid where she oversaw scholarship awards to students. She now serves as Outreach and Education Coordinator with the Flint River Watershed Coalition in downtown Flint. Needless to say, Ms. Lossing's extensive knowledge of the College and community are an asset to the Alumni Association. She believes in giving back to the community and her involvement supports her belief. Sue serves on numerous boards, committees and other volunteer agencies in the community. She is married to David Lossing, Mayor of the City of Linden, MI.
Vice-President
John Chinonis attended MCC before obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy
from Ferris State University. For 35 years Mr. Chinonis owned and
operated Franklin Pharmacy in Flint. He is currently the President
and co-owner of YAYA's Flame Broiled Chicken. In 1997, he received
an Honorary Degree in Community Leadership from MCC. He has been
married to Linda for 26 years and has 2 sons.
Treasurer
Celia M. Turner was elected to her first six-year term as a member of the Mott Community College Board of Trustees on June 9, 2003. She works as a consignment operation coordinator at General Motors Service Parts Operations. Mrs. Turner received a Master's Degree in Administration (1994) and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (1992) from Central Michigan University. She is a graduate of Flint Central High School. An active member of her community, Mrs. Turner is involved with the following organizations and/or activities, including the Light of the World Foundation - Board Member, Michigan Senior Network Service Agency -Board Member, UNCF Flint Branch - Executive Board Member and Co-Chair and the NAACP - Executive Board Member. In 2001, Mrs. Turner was a recipient of the YWCA Corporate Women of the Year for General Motors Service Parts Operations World Headquarters in Grand Blanc.
