It will make this year’s application easier and will help you make the next year even easier. 3 Learn about the FAFSA process. Take some time to read the FAFSA materials on the www.FAFSA.gov web site. 4 Apply for your PIN. All of you FAFSA applications and any Direct Loan processing require this number. Be sure to write down your challenger question and answer as well as your PIN. If you are a DEPENDENT student your parents need to apply for a PIN as well.
